A show about white people walking around SENT ME. In their podcast, Tramell Tillman says one of the first things he asked about Milchick as a character is whether or not he knows he is Black. It ends up being an interesting conversation with Tillman, Stiller and Scott.

This is so good. As a former corporate employee on a volunteer DEI committee ( because they sure as hell weren’t gonna pay for one) this season is hitting hard and this article brilliantly explains the nuance.

Mic drop 🎤… I, work[ed] in a position in a Lumen type company. How Natalie and Milchick ain’t break during that seen, I dk how they did it. I broke. I was on the floor. Broken down man. And i started there before 2020 uprising, and i saw as you said as well as that aspersion for whiteness. Solidarity is the key. Thank you for your words. Thank you 🙏🏽.

This is well written and im subscribing now. Thank you so much for taking the time to break this very Black experience down. I laughed the whole episode but to be clear this shit is terrifying. I felt the adaptation was very Jordan Peele-esque in how artful episode 3 really was. This shit is going to explode by end of the season

“White people walking around” is hilarious! Makes me thing of a similar joke from SNL about Downton Abbey being a show about “White people walking into rooms and talking.” At the core that’s exactly what it is and it’s hilarious.

I’m eating up all the commentary on this last episode, especially about that scene with Milchik and Natalie. If you’re Black in corporate you’ve had that kind of painful exchange more times than you’d wish to admit. It’s so subversive and I’m glad this show is starting to address it more starkly for the audience.

This is such a wonderful piece. Definitely highlights more subtext that I took for granted! Also it just occurred to me that although several characters remark on Miss Huang being a child, Dylan is the only one who asks her if she’s okay. 🥺
